How does a Patient send and receive chat messages?

A Patient can send and recieve chat messages while logged into their HIPAA Video account by navigating to the Lobby. 


Once the Patient is in the Lobby, they need to click on the desired Appointment from the left column under APPOINTMENTS.   The Chat box will become active, allowing the Patient to begin typing a message in the chat box as displayed in the image below.


To send the message, hit Enter or click the Send button. 


After clicking Send, the message will be sent immediately, and the Provider can view the posted message and reply. 



Editing a Message
To edit a message after it has been sent, hover over the text and click edit. The message will then appear in the chat box to make any desired changes. Then click the send button, and the edits will be applied to the message.
